What is cybersecurity? Also known as computer security, it refers to the branch of computer science dealing with the analysis of threats, vulnerabilities, and risk associated with the use of computers, to protect them from possible internal or external attacks that could cause damage direct or indirect. Is this something that can be left in the hands of the experts and not care about it? The answer is no.

It is time to begin looking at cybersecurity as a must for our digital and hyperconnected lives, present in businesses and citizens daily routines. Security is given by the use of effective, complicated but easy-to-remember passwords. A good password must be at least eight alphanumeric characters (letters and numbers) that contain special characters, such as @ # $% ^ &, do not use common words like "password", your birthday date, your username or words that they can be read on the dictionary, alternating between uppercase and lower case.

It is also strongly advised, if not mandatory, to use a different password for each Internet site you sign up for. In this way, if anyone finds the password of one of the services you are subscribing to, you will not be able to access any other services, such as chat or e-mail, that you use. Alternatively, even to avoid basic errors such as writing passwords on post-it and paper sheets, you can use a "matrix" password, equal to all sites, to which you add a special font and the initial site for the what password you need. Passphrases are strongly recommended, rather than passwords since a sentence is less identifiable than a word.

What is a password with computer security? I think each of you has a Google account. Do you know how many services are linked to that account? Tons:

• Gmail
• YouTube
• Play Store
• AdWords
• AdSense
• Blogger
• Google Books
• Google Analytics
• Google Bookmarks
• Google Maps
• Google Photos
• Google Payments
• Google Voice
• Maps Location History

And these are just some of the related services. Do we really want to entrust this whole mass of personal information of each of us to a weak password? Cybersecurity is also, and above all, the security of your personal information on the web. Think well of what you share on the web because everything that is uploaded on the internet remains on the Internet.
